EXCLUSIVE Composers Salim-Sulaiman on the iconic song Haule Haule “At times songs are inspired from dialogues”

Candidly, the Merchant brother revealed that the script plays a vital role in creating the album for a film. A script written intelligently makes the entire process of integrating songs “seamless”.

Sulaiman said, “Most of the time, when we create songs, especially for films, it comes out of the script and situations only.” On this, Salim recalled, “In the film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, there was a dialogue – Tani partner aap dekh lena haule haule ho jaega pyaar.”

As Sulaiman got nostalgic, he further added, “Even Suri’s character keeps saying – hum hain rahi pyaar ke phir milenge chaltey chaltey.”

Putting his thought into words, Sulaiman asserted, “Everything comes from the script. If the script is written intelligently, the integration of songs can be done seamlessly.”

It is worth mentioning here that both songs, ‘Haule Haule’ and ‘Phir Milenge Chalte Chalte’ were instant hits. Not only these, but even the title song and other tracks also grabbed the attention of the audience.
